In recent biological science, the acquisition of the protein structure itself is important. But, methods of structural analysis is extremely limited. Our strategy gazes at only "structures of three-dimensional (3D) activated-site". It is a complete innovative idea and gains a new possibility of much methodology. Here, 3D active-sites in protein molecules mean that both heavy atoms and S-S binding sites. We try to determine the structures around the heavy atoms and S-S binding sites under angstrom-resolutions. Finally, we will get time-resolved information of huge protein molecules from quantum-beam techniques


[Target 1] Three-dimensional site structure determination method around the heavy atoms using molecular labelling techniques.

We try to determine three-dimensional site structures around the inserted heavy atoms using interactions between the heavy atoms and S-S binding sites.

 

[Target 2] Three-dimensional site structure determination method around the sulfur atoms using micro antibodies techniques.

We try to determine three-dimensional site structures around the inserted sulfur atoms using micro antibodies techniques.

 

[Target 3] Three-dimensional site structure determination method around the heavy atoms in huge-protein molecules PSII

We try to determine three-dimensional site structures around the heavy atoms in huge-protein molecules PSII. The three-dimensional imaging around Mn or Ca which can be put before and behind the optical excitations are achieved and time-resolved three- dimensional site structure determination method is also established.
